CONCEPTS	DEFINITION
The Concept of Technology.	Technology is the collection of techniques, skills, methods and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific investigation. Technology can be the knowledge of techniques, processes, and the like, or it can be embedded in machines which can be operated without detailed knowledge of their workings
ICTs in Education	ICTs in education stand for information and communication technologies and are defined, for the purposes of this primer, as a “diverse set of technological tools and resources used to communicate, and to create, disseminate, store, and manage information.”  These technologies include computers, the Internet, broadcasting technologies (radio and television), and telephony.
The Use of Technology in English Teaching and Learning	The use of Technology in English is an ideally placed to help teachers working with learners, and learners working independently, to do the necessary ‘languaging’ that makes their language development possible.
